It has magnificent very central location to the main attraction points. Btw, it's set in West End district not far from beautiful area, the conference centre and the shop.

Really very good location to the main attraction points and easy access to the main shopping center and a market.

Location, view of castle from room.
The bathroom in our room was a disgrace, with mould on the tiles and ceiling in the shower, and stains in the bath, I'd expect better standards in a hostel. Also the shower was useless, had very little water pressure and ran hot and cold randomly. Mentioned these problems on check-out but was not offered any discount. The room itself was comfortable and clean enough, although the carpets were pretty tired and the double bed was just two singles pushed together, so not really as advertised. There was also an occasional random banging noise we assumed to be the water pipes. Due to these problem I feel this hotel is very poor value, we paid £139 per night mid week, I would not stay here again.

Good location
Very unhelpful staff. We waited over 10 minutes to check in, and no other member of staff was called. One staff member did ask "Are you ok?" When I answered "No, we are trying to check in", he simply walked away without a word.

Very good reception staff on our check in day. Good during our stay. Room not as clean as should be. Shower curtain was soiled, but was replaced without problem on request. Room cleanliness could be better. Floor not well vacuumed. Bedding very good and comfortable. Restaurant very good and good dinner & breakfast, staff very pleasant and good service. Overall not so bad and reasonable value.

Hotel was clean and comfortable Staff at reception very helpful.
Corridors and hallways of hotel were dull and dreary and there was no homely feel with pictures paintings or plants which gave it a bit of a stark prison like feel. However the room was clean and comfortable but again very bare and not aesthetically pleasing.

I enjoyed how central the hotel was. It was within walking distance of everything I wanted to visit.
The bar didnt have a great selection of drinks, it was probably a little up market for the hotel.

The location is ideal, the staff is very very helpful, and the hotel is enchanting. They offer good sized, compact rooms with an amazing view, 2 double beds plus separate power shower view of the castle.

Hotel was very chic looking with very smart rooms although very dark decor. Breakfast was good. Location excellent for the Castle and good restaurants if you were not phased by the sex shop and lap dancing club just up the road!
Locality - known as the pubic triangle due to sex shops, lap dancing and strip clubs very close by

The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating and the services were fantastic. The hotel's steak was great! Breakfast was the usual English fare you get in hotels. Furthermore, the hotel was just a walking distance to the castle and the city centre. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and it made a lot of difference in my visit to Edinburgh. . . It was simply worth the money.

The castle view from my room was fine. The bathroom ventilation didn't seem to be working. Great breakfast options. Location perfect for sightseeing, especially near the golf course.
